The Wedding Slide Show
Below you will find afull length slide show of Ken & Kristen's wedding at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island. Tony Ormonde was the DJ, so it was fun to see him again. Plus, at long last I met Delia, the Sales & Marketing representative at Aldrich. We've talked on the phone for years, but never had a chance to meet.
Many thanks goes out to Sarah Weatherhead, who was my assistant on this day. She got some great shots, and was the photographer for all the bathtub photographs. She really clicked with the bride and bridesmaids. This is one of the reasons I like to have a seond shooter with me at weddings. Sometimes the gals make a stronger connection.
Enjoy the show. It was quite a wedding

Best of the Knot 2007

I get back from a mini-vacation yesterday, and found this plaque in my mail box. It says I have been voted a 2007 Best of the Knot. Wow! that's so cool. But, what's really surprising, is that I had no idea this was going on. Typiucally, these things are promotional deals. You know, buy some ad space, then you get on the ballot, and surprise you've been chosen. But, I don't advertise in the Knot. So, I'm guessing, that I have some fans out there in Knot land. Thank you very much.

Stuck in Minneapolis
We are in the Minnesota airport, awaiting a new flight because ours was canceled due to the heavy rains yesterday. We are now booked on the 10 a.m. flight. My wife, son and I made the trip out here for her parent's 50th wedding anniversary.

The Family Reunion

This weekend we had 30 people in town and over to our house each night. It was the 100th anniversary of my grandfather's connection with his boyhood friend, Carl Bellwinkel in Dortmund, Germany. Over the last 100 years, there have been 23 visits of the Germans to the US, and 36 visits by our family to Germany. We have been together having a wonderful time. Lobster dinners, basketball tournaments, (my son Ben and I won - being tall really helps) great conversations, laughter, trips to Newport. We are all looking forward to another gathering in 2009, location under discussion, but possibly in Ithaca, Greece, where Theo is from orginally.
