Flat Tires

Flat Tires are no fun, and they always happen at the most inconvenient time. Well, there probably is not a convenient time. We were picking up our son for the Thanksgiving Holiday yesterday, and sure enough. So my mother who is in town for the Holiday played traffic officer, while Ben changed the tire, Lisa provided encouragement and I took pictures saying, "Now I have something I can put on my Blog."

It's Fall - It's Portrait Time

Families always seem to want portraits in the Fall, in anticipation of the upcoming Holiday season. I was rolling on the lawn this week on a beautiful fall afternoon. Ethan & Andrew were in a great mood, and we got some nice images of the brothers - being brothers. Note in the slide show, how Ethan is biting (sort of) his brother's hand. i missed the one where he just pushed him over. Reminded me of the time my parents got so tired of the three of us fighting (Yup all boys), so they bought us boxing gloves - then one day my cousin came over and my brother Art hit him so hard with a left hook that he went flying into the glass window of our parents bathroom. Nothing a few bandaids, and a couple stitches wouldn't cure.

Anyway, Ethan & Andrew's slide show is below.

The Importance of Voting

On Tuesday, we've got an election in this country - that I believe is critical. I hope you'll go out and vote.

This fall, I met a man who was a musician in a band at a wedding reception. We got talking over the dinner break. he's from Central America, came to the US, became a citizen, now he's married with 2 kids. You know what he was so excited about? Voting! Where he came from, that wasn't an option. ow, he gets to have a say in who leads his adopted home country.

In past elections, I've mixed up my votes for different people based on issues, character and other factors. For years I was a registered independent. But, I have to say, this year, with one exception, I'm voting for all Democrats. I just feel as if the GOP has become the party of the Ultra Far Right. They've gone too far, and we need to restore a balance to our government.

Regardless of how you feel, I hope you'll go out and vote on Tuesday, November 7th.
